The Latest in Dementia Research
Please join the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center and the Alzheimer's Association Michigan Chapter to learn about the latest in dementia research. Bruno Giordani, PhD, will discuss the research shared during the Alzheimer's Association International Conference this past summer, and he will explain what the latest findings mean for the future of dementia. Join us prior to the research event at 4:30 for a review of Alzheimer's and dementia. During "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia," we will discuss the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia; stages and risk factors; current medications available for some symptoms; and Alzheimer's Association resources.

Dr. Giordani is the Associate Director of the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center and the Senior Director of the Mary A. Rackham Institute (MARI). He is the Chief Psychologist of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan, and he is also a professor in the Departments of Psychiatry, Neurology, and Psychology. Plus, he is a Board Member for the Alzheimer's Association Michigan Chapter.
